A month ago I had the privilege of being a part of a photography weekend retreat with a group of girls called Focus. It was a much needed break to get away from the day to day routine and just relax. I had such a great time sitting on the porch of Selah Springs rocking in a rocking chair and taking in the beautiful view. Selah Springs is a ranch located in the heart of Texas that serves as a retreat for groups of all kinds as well as a wedding venue! You may remember this styled shoot photographed there earlier in the year. The name Selah is a Hebrew term found in the book of Psalms. It is a term which means to pause and to rest. There could not be a more perfect name to describe this place! The still, peaceful atmosphere, the incredible lodge, the crystal clear stars at night… I could go on and on! I was so blessed to rest there for a few days, eat home cooked food, have deep conversations with the girls, and sleep like a baby! This styled shoot was just icing on the cake! Tisha, Jim and their lovely assistant Alexi thought the whole shoot up and I was so excited to be a part of it! Check out Tisha’s images of the shoot here.
