One of the things I love to do is photograph designs I find in architecture, nature, and textures. I always seem to have an overwhelming amount of images to sort through and I wanted to find a way to incorporate all of my favorites. I decided to compile my many images into photo grids. Each grid has it’s own style or feel in tonality, and shape. I think this quilting of images represents the many things that are laid before our eyes on a daily basis. It’s almost like a picture journal of sorts. These are just images of everyday things I see and find interesting. Every image reminds me of a place I have been.
Places that are represented in these grids:
Texas towns: Huntsville, New Waverly, San Antonio, Houston, Pasadena, Tomball, Galveston, Cypress, Salado, Henderson, Madisonville. Other: Cambridge, Massachusetts. Chicago, Illinois. Playa Mujeres, Mexico. Madrid, Spain. Sam Houston State campus, backyards, my car, church, parks, abandoned houses, antique stores…
